pool areas reopening

POOL AREAS REOPENING
Due to the cold weather pattern persisting a couple days longer than originally anticipated, the Board of Directors has decided to officially open and begin heating both pools beginning Monday, March 15, 2021. Neither spa will be heated or open for use until further notice.

Please be reminded of the existing COVID-19 Community Pool Guidelines that will remain in effect until further notice. A copy of the full list of temporary rules is attached to this email communication, but here are few important rules to remember:
 
*IF RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED – POOLS WILL BE CLOSED*

  • Pool hours will be temporarily changed to 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Pool use hours may be modified without notice.
  • NO guests allowed.
  • Pool occupancy limit will be decreased to 25%
    • Recreational Center #1 – Chemin Clinet – 14 people maximum
    • Recreational Center #2 - Promenade Chardonnay Hills – 31 people maximum
  • Spa will be closed.
  • Residents must wash hands frequently with soap and water, cover coughs and sneezes. Residents who are experiencing symptoms of illness including a fever of 100 F or above, sore throat, runny nose, chills, not feeling well, sneezing, coughing, abdominal pain, or diarrhea must avoid the pool area.
  • No large groups or parties allowed. Homeowners from the same household may swim together. Groups will be limited to six (6) or less.
  • Residents must maintain a six (6) feet separation between swimmers.
  • Residents should wear a cloth face covering when traveling through common areas of the property where it may not be possible to maintain physical distancing, include to and from the pool and shared restrooms.
 
NEW COMMON AREA KEYS
If you missed all four of the distribution events to obtain your new common area key(s), the Board has authorized the pick-up of keys at the local Avalon Management office in Temecula located at:

43529 Ridge Park Drive
Temecula, California 92590

However, due to continued COVID-19 precautions, Avalon Management's offices are still closed to the public. Management will be offering an online appointment system for curbside or front door pick-up for your new common area keys as soon as possible. This system and protocol is still forthcoming and is anticipated to be available for use by Friday, March 19, 2021. Please be on the lookout for follow up communication from the association confirming when this system becomes available.

Important Notice Regarding Assessment Coupon Books

This message is for those residents that pay using the annual coupon book.  This does not affect anyone already using auto-debit/ACH, their bank's bill pay service, or through PayLease/Zego. 
 
All coupon books were ordered on December 4th, however due to Covid the supplier of the coupon books has had to operate with fewer staff members than needed.  In addition, due to both the holidays and Covid affecting the post office, what would normally take 3-5 business days to deliver the mail is now taking 2-3 weeks. 
 
Remember most communities allow until the 15th of the month before a payment is considered late.


If you would like to mail in your payment before you receive a coupon book you can mail it to the bank:

Pay Online.
 
You may also sign up to pay online by clicking the “My Account” Icon, then Log On, then Login.   Please be aware that before you can sign up for automatic payment, your account must have a zero balance.  Please make any balance due payments by check, and then come back and sign up for auto-draft.  You can make a one-time payment online, but there are small fees charged by the third party provider that processes credit and debit cards for the Association.

Chardonnay Hills - Recreational Center #2 Basketball Court Improvements Delays

M​anagement sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience of having the basketball courts closed during the labor day weekend. Unfortunately, the basketball court resurfacing will not be completed and reopened until next Saturday, September 12. The second park area located on Chemin Clinet will be open. We appreciate your understanding and again look forward to a beautifully remodeled basketball court.

Basketball Court Refurbishment - September 2 - September 3

​Beginning Wednesday, September 2 - Thursday, September 3, the basketball courts located at 41067 Promenade Chardonnay Hills will get a much needed fresh new look! Cracks will be repaired, court will be re-surfaced, the backboard will be repainted and nets will be replaced. The basketball courts will be reopened again on Saturday, September 5 assuming no issues arise during the repair and resurfacing. All homeowners will be notified by email once the repairs are completed. The gates allowing access to both the park and basketball courts will be closed until repairs are completed. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to a stunning new basketball court!

Chardonnay Hills Annual Meeting Results

Due to a lack of quorum, the annual election was unable to be held. A majority of the members present at the meeting voted to conclude the meeting until the following year which means the current board members will stay in place until their respective successors are elected or appointed. Please review the results below. Thank you to everyone who voted!

Chardonnay Hills Parks Available for Use

On Friday evening, June 5, 2020, the State of California released important information regarding reopening parks for activities such as basketball, baseball, soccer and football that are held on park fields, open areas and courts. The Chardonnay Hills baseball field, basketball court and volleyball court will be available for use starting Monday, June 8. Members of the same house may engage in such activities and sports together. Again, no guests will be allowed. Per the state, playgrounds are not available for use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation!

Pool Reopening - New Guidelines

Thank you for everyone’s support and patience during these unprecedented times. After careful consideration and planning, the Chardonnay Hills Board of Directors is pleased to announce the pools located on Chemin Clinet (Recreation Center 1) and Promenade Chardonnay Hills/Parducci (Recreation Center 2) will be open for limited use starting Monday, June 8.  However, the spas will remain closed until further notice.  Attached is the updated community pool guidelines adopted at the General Session meeting held on Thursday, June 4, 2020.

The community parks will remain closed EXCEPT the tennis court.  This closure includes the baseball field, the basketball and volleyball courts, picnic benches, and the playground equipment (playsets and swings).  

The health and safety of our homeowners and residents are of utmost importance.  Please read the updated policy carefully.  If the policies cannot be followed, the Chardonnay Hills Board of Directors will have no choice but to close the pool facilities. 

Now more than ever, we need to unite as a community and respect each other.  Stay safe and have a wonderful summer!

** Recreational Center #1 (Chemin Clinet) main pool gate is inoperable. Please make sure to use the second gate through the park **
